WHAT IS IT?
The cornerstone of the Maidenii range, the Classic Vermouth uses as its base wine a Syrah from Victoria to which a distilled grape spirit is added as the fortifier. To that is added the key botanical of wormwood and 34 botanicals, of which 12 are native. Each style of Maidenii has its own signature blend of botanicals that have been chosen to best complement the wine base and each other but the common botanicals across the range are wormwood, strawberry gum, river mint, sea parsley and wattleseed. The Classic Vermouth boasts orange zest, bay leaf and gentian root amongst its botanicals, chosen to complement the Syrah based wine used. The result is a delicate citrus note to this medium dry vermouth that is perfect as a palate cleanser. Unlike most other vermouths, Maidenii does not use any additional sweeteners .

WHO'S BEHIND IT?
Maidenii is named for British botanist Joseph Maiden (1859-1925), who upon landing in New South Wales in 1880 spent the rest of his life studying the cataloguing the local native flora. His passion for the botanical riches of Australia inspires the spirit of Maidenii, which is the product of a collaboration between renowned Australian bartender, Shaun Byrne and the famous French winemaker Gilles Lapalus. As a third generation winemaker, Gilles moved to Australia in 2001 to become the manager of bio dynamic viticulture and winemaking at Sutton Grange Winery near Castlemaine in central Victoria. Gilles was introduced to Shaun by Vernon Chalker, owner of the Gin Palace in Melbourne (which Shaun was managing) after Vernon and Shaun started pursuing the "perfect martini." Vernon foresaw that Shaun’s cocktail experience and self-professed ‘bar geekery’ was the perfect complement to Gille’s winemaking knowledge in the making of the perfect vermouth and it is Shaun’s innate understanding of the classic martini and negroni that allowed them to tailor their Sweet and Dry styles with the bartender in mind.

WHERE DO YOU SHIP TO?
We currently deliver within Australia only. If however, you wish to purchase a gift for someone living in Australia, please feel free to do so. All you have to do is nominate their delivery address in the checkout stages but please make sure you enter your billing address as being your overseas address to which your card is registered to. We suggest you include a note with the order to let us know it is a gift otherwise there may be a delay in the processing of your order whilst we verify your details for fraud purposes.
HOW LONG WILL MY DELIVERY TAKE TO ARRIVE?
Orders are normally despatched within 48 hours of cleared payment being made.
Current estimates for standard delivery times are as follows:
NSW - Between 3-5 working days
ACT/QLD/VIC - Between 3-7 working days
SA/WA/TAS - Between 5-10 working days
NT - Between 7-14 working days
The likelihood is that your order will arrive sooner than the above estimates however, this can vary from location to location and time of the year. There may also be certain periods around special occasions such as Christmas, Valentines Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day etc where you may experience some delays in your orders being received due to the volumes of parcels that are being processed and delivered by our shipping partners. If you need your order to arrive by a specific time or urgently (including same day for Sydney metro), please contact us before you place your order so we can work with you to accommodate any requests.
WHO DO YOU SHIP WITH?
We currently use the services of Fastway, Couriers Please and Australia Post. Depending on your delivery location, we will ascertain which of the delivery providers are best placed to ship your order in a timely and cost efficient way.
WHEN ARE DELIVERIES MADE? WHAT IF I'M NOT HOME?
All deliveries are made during business hours on the weekdays. We therefore ask that you nominate an address at which someone over 18 is available to sign for the parcel. We are unable to deliver to PO Boxes or Parcel Lockers at this time. If a parcel has to be re-delivered or delivered to a different address, you will be fully responsible for any re-delivery charges that may be levied by the delivery provider.
CAN I RETURN OR CANCEL AN ORDER?
You can cancel an order if it hasn't been despatched. Please contact us straightaway if that is the case. We do not offer returns unless the wrong item has been shipped to you or it is delivered damaged. Please ensure you take photos of your parcel upon delivery to forward to us so that we can process any refund or send out a replacement item appropriately.
