UPDATE: WE'RE SOLD OUT FOR THIS ROUND BUT POP YOUR EMAIL IN THE LINK ABOVE AND DEPENDING ON INTEREST, WE'LL LET YOU KNOW WHEN A SECOND ROUND BECOMES AVAILABLE.
Secret Cocktail Club is back with a Havana inspired theme.
The price gets you this book by Tim Federle called Hickory Daiquiri Dock, a cute little publication with nursery rhymes twisted into cocktail recipes. Within the pages of the book, you will also find your personal invitation with instructions to our private shindig on Saturday 7 July 2018 at 6 pm in St Leonards. We'll be comparing the two Havana Clubs and its usage in the most classic of rum cocktails. What cocktail you ask? In case you missed it, the clue is in the name of the book. We only have 8 of these books (and invitations) available so hurry!
Due to the nature of this offering, there are no refunds available once you receive the book (unless of course your book is not as described or is damaged). Needless to say, the invitation to attend our shindig is only valid to those over 18. If you can't attend, you may of course, send someone in your place. Email us on email@example.com should that be the case. In the unlikely event we have to cancel our little party, we will make it up to you by refunding you the full $59 you paid for the book.
Please provide your shipping address when checking out and be sure to check your mail (by which we mean the good old fashioned physical post box, not your computer) - the book should arrive by the end of June 2018 so if you haven't received it by then, please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org
As to what we'll be doing at our private little tasting? Here's the lowdown again.
Havana Club may be one of the most well known rum brands out there but did you know there's two versions in the world? One made by drinks giant Bacardi in Puerto Rico (and sold in the US) and the other made by equally big drinks company Pernod Ricard in Cuba (and sold elsewhere in the world, including Australia). We'll be cracking open some US-only Havana Clubs flown in directly from the States for this occasion, and pitting it against the other Havana Club. We'll go through the history of the feud between the two HC and taste each before we put them to the test in the most classic of rum cocktails...the Daiquiri.
If you score yourself a seat at the table, you can expect a tasting of 4 different rums (2 different expressions from each Havana Club) and a flight of 4 Daiquiris made with each of the rum on taste, plus a grazing platter.
All happening on Saturday 7 July 2018 from 6 pm to 8 pm.
