WHAT IS IT?
The story of William Chase Gin begins with the vodka, made using potatoes grown, fermented, distilled and bottled on the family farm deep in middle England. Then, after picking Herefordshire hedgerow sloe berries, they marinade the berries in a bespoke gin blend for an initial period of 8 months with other botanicals designed specifically to augment the rich flavour of the fruit. Chase then sources delicious mulberries; adding the fruit for a final two months. The result is smooth with a rich mouth-feel that evokes warm rich cassis and plummy stone fruit. Sweet and fresh, balanced with a touch of tartness. Gloriously warming!

WHO'S BEHIND IT?
The Chase family have been in potato farming for generations and before turning to making vodka (and gin), William Chase was in fact the brains (and driving force) behind the hugely successful brand of potato crisps called Tyrrells. It was when in the US researching packaging methods, that he stumbled on a distillery producing potato vodka After some years of further research (and lots of tinkering), it wasn't until April Fool's Day that the first batch of vodka for release was distilled in June 2008 with the bespoke copper batch pot still commissioned by Will from a family firm. Today all bottles are stillfilled and sealed by hand.
Today, Will remains heavily involved in the operations of the farm and distillery but sons Harry and James have been roped in to make this a real family business - Harry oversees the farming side of things whilst James oversees all the "meet and greet" at the farm as well as travelling the world spreading the goodness of Chase.
At the Chase Distillery, 16 tonnes of potatoes makes only 1000 litres of alcohol!
The rectification column of the copper pot still at Chase is the tallest of its kind in the world and at more than 70ft, rises through the roof of the barn in which it is located!
WHERE DO YOU SHIP TO?
We currently deliver within Australia only. If however, you wish to purchase a gift for someone living in Australia, please feel free to do so. All you have to do is nominate their delivery address in the checkout stages but please make sure you enter your billing address as being your overseas address to which your card is registered to. We suggest you include a note with the order to let us know it is a gift otherwise there may be a delay in the processing of your order whilst we verify your details for fraud purposes.
HOW LONG WILL MY DELIVERY TAKE TO ARRIVE?
Orders are normally despatched within 48 hours of cleared payment being made.
Current estimates for standard delivery times are as follows:
NSW - Between 3-5 working days
ACT/QLD/VIC - Between 3-7 working days
SA/WA/TAS - Between 5-10 working days
NT - Between 7-14 working days
The likelihood is that your order will arrive sooner than the above estimates however, this can vary from location to location and time of the year. There may also be certain periods around special occasions such as Christmas, Valentines Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day etc where you may experience some delays in your orders being received due to the volumes of parcels that are being processed and delivered by our shipping partners. If you need your order to arrive by a specific time or urgently (including same day for Sydney metro), please contact us before you place your order so we can work with you to accommodate any requests.
WHO DO YOU SHIP WITH?
We currently use the services of Fastway, Couriers Please and Australia Post. Depending on your delivery location, we will ascertain which of the delivery providers are best placed to ship your order in a timely and cost efficient way.
WHEN ARE DELIVERIES MADE? WHAT IF I'M NOT HOME?
All deliveries are made during business hours on the weekdays. We therefore ask that you nominate an address at which someone over 18 is available to sign for the parcel. We are unable to deliver to PO Boxes or Parcel Lockers at this time. If a parcel has to be re-delivered or delivered to a different address, you will be fully responsible for any re-delivery charges that may be levied by the delivery provider.
CAN I RETURN OR CANCEL AN ORDER?
You can cancel an order if it hasn't been despatched. Please contact us straightaway if that is the case. We do not offer returns unless the wrong item has been shipped to you or it is delivered damaged. Please ensure you take photos of your parcel upon delivery to forward to us so that we can process any refund or send out a replacement item appropriately.
